Corona Virus Or Not…Keep your kitchen clean !

In this current situation even small things can bring big change. One of the things is cooking clean.

Cook clean” is an often-heard mantra, which means both literally clean and also organized and uncluttered. When ingredients, tools and equipment are clean and orderly, it’s much easier to execute a recipe.

Here are some of the simple tips for you to help in this:

  • Start Clean: It always feels good and happy to start cooking when the surface, all your utensils and cooking tools are clean. This avoids any kind of disruptions & disturbances while cooking.  So start your cooking cleaning the stove if splattered, clear the counters with scrub and wipe them down and wash any lingering dishes, empty the sink, dish rack, etc.
  • Wash your hands with soap : Post cleaning the soiled surfaces and dishes / utensils, wash your hands properly with soap before you start cooking. During the process also, whenever your hands are oily and flavored , you should do too.
  • Clean as you cook: It’s tempting to dump everything in the sink to do later, instead, take some time to dispose off the vegetable scraps or food leftover, as soon as you are done with your cooking.
  • Set up for a clean routine: Keep cleaning once in 2 days, the wipes you use for cleaning the kitchen surfaces. Soak them in hot water and dish soap for some time before washing to sanitize these properly.
  • Clean your trash container / dustbin regularly: Set up a routine for washing your trash container after disposing off the garbage and vegetable scraps and dry it in sunlight for natural sanitization.
